Description
Madame Tarot
About 11 years ago my husband, 4 children and I were on a day trip to the ocean near our home in Northern California. We stopped and visited a little store along the beach. It was in this store that I purchased my first Tarot deck.

I became “obsessed” with reading the cards. I loved the artwork and the symbols and learning the meanings of the cards. I found that the cards helped me to discover issues that I was avoiding in my life. It showed me fears that I wasn’t acknowledging so I could move past problems and better myself and my relationships.

Over the years I have purchased 23 Tarot decks. My favorite decks are Gilded Tarot, Hanson Roberts, Spiral Tarot, The Gendron Tarot and The Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg. I am drawn to these decks because they are rich in design and color.

I am a member of the [American Tarot Association ], ATA, and subscribe to their code of ethics as well as my own.

I have a bi monthly podcast on Learning to Read the Tarot Cards.

My suggestion would be to learn 1 keyword per card in the upright position.  Then move on to 1 phrase per card in the upright position.  Learn discrete symbolism within the artwork.  Each artist uses their own symbols along with traditional symbols so you will need to take that into consideration when deciding on a deck.

I  preferred learning upright and reversals  at the same time.  I do have a photographic memory and that was a big plus for me that most people don't have to work with.

I have been reading the cards for over a decade but I will always consider myself a student
